"Try Our Stock" Tri-R Boer
goats are up to date on all medications to maintain a healthy herd. All our stock is registered with
The USBGA
and are of quality bloodlines. Top quality breed stock from
around the country is the foundation of our South African Boer herd.
Tri-R animals are very correct in structure and are top quality meat
producers. Many of these fine animals are in our show string, which win Championships every year around the Pacific Northwest.
South African Boer Goats were
developed in South Africa as a fast growing meat animal that could also
clear unwanted vegetation. Although developed in the arid regions of
Africa the Boer goat adapts quite well to the different (in our case
colder) climates.
The South African Boer goat breed
arrived in the United States in 1993 and has grown, and continues to
grow, at a very good rate. This is not a 'fad' that is going to pass.
Eighty percent of the world uses goat as their meat of choice. The
United States has an ever-increasing ethnic population that is demanding
their meat of choice. The Boer goat is the perfect goat for this markets
demand. The kids have a growth rate average of over half a pound a day
up to 100 pounds. The Boer has greater meat to bone ratio than most
goats. We have found that the hybrid vigor in a Boer Nubian cross makes
it a great meat animal to meet the demand of the market.
We have for sale wonderful animals
that will meet your expectations. We can provide young or proven stock
for breeding of show or commercial quality animals.
